Quality of life often comes down to a balancing act. If so, Austin has that maneuver hammered down since it enjoys rankings as the “Best Place for Business and Careers” the “Live Music Capital of the World” as well as respectable placing in the “Best City for Relocating Families” and “Best Cities for Singles” lists.Sounds like Austin has it pretty well covered, doesn’t it? You bet.And when you look at the snapshot provided by the Chamber of Commerce, the picture becomes even clearer:

  • Affordable and diverse neighborhoods, from urban lofts to hill country estates
  • A climate made for outdoor enjoyment and recreation nearly year round
  • Many professional and amateur sports venues and events
  • More fine restaurants and clubs per capita than any other U.S. city

Conference and Convention Centers in Austin

It’s easy to do business in Austin when you consider any number of the city’s convention and conference venues.Three big powerhouses come to immediate mind, but there are a ton of other more intimate venues as well.

  • The Austin Convention Center consists of five contiguous exhibit halls that total over 246,000 square feet. Additionally, there are 54 meeting rooms. It is located on six city blocks in the heart of downtown Austin along Waller Creek. The building is constructed on native Texas materials which are sure to delight out of area visitors.
